Dr. Mona Kazim Shah is a medical doctor by training, She is a freelance international journalist and human rights activist. She hosts and produces the radio show “Politics Today”, an audience interactive. live radio show which focuses on politics and sociopolitical issues in Pakistan out of Dallas. She has interviewed a broad range of personalities, ranging from elected political leaders to people from the underworld running political parties to chiefs of terrorist organization to the family of Malala Yusufzai.
Using the radio show as a platform, she champions the rights of minorities and persecuted groups in Pakistan and here in the United States. Founder, Project Pakistan an initiative that empowers communities beyond boundaries: Dr. Shah founded “Project Pakistan” an initiative, to raise minority rights issues in Pakistan, to help families and individuals in Pakistan by paying tuition, providing clothing, funding weddings, or simply donating food to families in need.
This campaign of hers also hosts monthly Open Mics and talks at her place. She also organizes seminars of utmost importance, collaborating with the colleges and universities in Dallas. Her recent ones were, “Cost of Conflict: India Pakistan and Kashmir, why war is not an option”. Hosted and arranged two talks by activist Jibran Nasir from Pakistan on “Terrorism and Pakistan”, Truck Artist Haider Ali on their peace painting project, replacing hate speech on walls by painting flowers over them, Hosted and arranged fundraisers for Todd Shea, an American humanitarian working in Pakistan (Comprehensive Disaster Response Services)
